Noura Alwan works at the Submarine Co-Working space in Jnah, a residential district in Beirut. She sees a huge demand for space, internet access and networking in Beirut.
"I manage the "Submarine Co-Working Space" in Jnah in Lebanon. We opened in 2014 — co-working spaces are popular in Lebanon. Around 40 per cent of our clients are women. Jnah is a bit isolated, so there is not that much awareness concerning co-working spaces, but we are doing fine. We have companies from the gaming and creative industry. We offer them the space, as well as internet access and access to a big community. So they find a lot of people to work with. Digitalization is our future."
