The partners mutually agree on matters relating to the lectures and program itself, i.e. the curriculum, exam regulations, (re)accreditation, evaluation, selection of teaching staff and students, and the organization of examination procedures.
DW Akademie is responsible for developing and conducting the International Media Studies' curriculum and for providing the required personnel. DW Akademie develops the curriculum and selects the teaching staff in agreement with its two partners. DW Akademie provides the resources required for the courses and takes on all related administrative tasks (infrastructure, personnel and building administration, bookkeeping). The courses are conducted on DW Akademie premises.
The Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences adjusts the Master's program in accordance with Articles 60 and following of the University and College Act. It determines the examination regulations, applies for the required accreditation and reaccreditation, and conducts and certifies the required examinations. The Bonn-Rhein-University of Applied Sciences is responsible for evaluating the program, and awards the title "Master of Arts". The diploma and certificate, which confirm that the student has successfully completed the program, indicate all three cooperation partners.
Bonn University is involved in adjusting the curriculum where necessary; this also applies to the areas of (re)accreditation and evaluation of the program. Where possible, the university also invites IMS students to participate in courses relevant to the IMS.
