
Nyanthepa Community Radio Station was flooded in 2023 when Cyclone Freddy brought heavy rains to much of Malawi. Now they inform listeners about incoming storms and broadcast tips for dealing with climate change, like flood-resistant crops.
The three-year project Displacement and Crisis Preparedness (2022-2024) focused on improving communication in and around African refugee camps as well as crisis preparedness in high-risk areas through risk assessment, media landscape analysis and the creation of crisis communication networks. it was supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
