DW Akademie's project "Parler Environnement" ("Speaking about the environment") has been offering media professionals and environmental activists from Tunisia, Algeria and Mauritania training in environmental reporting since 2023. The journalists received production workshops and expert input, while the representatives of environmental protection organizations attended media training sessions on how to best present their key messages to the public. The project ended with a conference in Hammamet, Tunisia, in November.

"Parler Environnement" was funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and implemented in Tunisia in partnership with the Heinrich Böll Foundation. The foundation contributed to the training by providing experts and scientists, among other things.
