Project Coordinator

Esmeralda Mariel Martínez Gutiérrez is a project coordinator and specialist in gender and intersectionality for DW Akademie's Latin America unit. She holds a degree in communications with a specialization in documentary film from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a degree in Latin American and Afro-Caribbean studies from the Consejo Latinoamericano de Ciencias Sociales (CLACSO).

Martínez Gutiérrez has coordinated various projects for international organizations in Latin America on journalism, freedom of expression, and digital rights, all with a focus on gender and intersectionality.
