Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen

Born in March 1845, Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen discovered X-rays, which are used in medicine and elsewhere to produce images of internal organs. Röntgen received the 1901 Nobel Prize in Physics. He died in February 1923.
