Unrest in France

France has been rocked by violent protests after an officer shot and killed a 17-year-old during a traffic stop.

Video footage of the killing of Nahel M. in late June shocked people across France. The teenager was shot dead by police for allegedly attempting to flee a traffic stop in Nanterre, on the outskirts of Paris. In the nights since his death, some angry protesters have attacked municipal buildings and rioted all across the country.
